We were just talking about that fact. While I was surprised to see us so heavily outnumbered last night, I completely understand it. The French Quarter is a great place to party, but LSU fans have already been there plenty. Also, Tiger fans are more likely to have other places to party while in town since they know the area much better.
The reference to "turning over cars and burning couches and destroying whatever they can lay their paws on" is actually a jab at another SEC team's fan base that shall remain unnamed. Apparently that's what they think LSU fans do to every place they visit.
I drove down from Toledo to Baton Rouge all day Saturday and I saw a LOT of OSU cars along the way in Alabama and Mississippi. It's a great feeling knowing that they are all traveling to N.O. to see this game. OSU fans have one of the best traveling fan bases in the NCAA, maybe better than LSU because they are a bigger school and have more alumni. I don't expect too many LSU fans in the quarter. OSU fans will be there because it's the only place they know in New Orleans and they want to make a statement and let everyone know they will be there. LSU fans will be there just to have a good time and for the atmosphere. It's great to see two powerhouse schools playing with great fanbases though.
Not in New Orleans they won't. If they want to do that up in Ohio, that's there business, but if they pull that crap in NOLA, Lawd have mercy.
