If they run in the fairway, you don't have to worry about 'em.

ahhh the vuvuzelas. F'ing horrible inventions. Cheap plastic crap that made their appearance at the Confederations Cup last year. Most teams want them banned but the South African argued that they are cultural and part of the authentic African football experience. FIFA caved. And now we have that constant buzzing in every game. There is a chance that the ban will be re-instituted during the World Cup because several players are complaining that they can not hear anything on the field.

i really don't know how anyone can not enjoy the world cup. It makes me wonder what an opposing visiting american football team would do in a stadium with well over 100k buzzing the whole game making it sound like there are a crap load of bees swarming everywhere.

I love the world cup, i can't wait for Brazil and Portugal. But, i root for the Americans, and after that, Viva La France!!!

right on dude, the world cup is incredible, and i love it. the post above where the stereotypes of the teams matches the country, that is true and fascinating. germans are in fact methodical and italians flashy. it is fun to watch.

saying low scoring is not exciting is ridiculous . it is like saying that a 1- 0 baseball game is not exciting. it is crazy exciting! the whole thing can change so quickly! you can be getting no good shots and suddenly the opposing goaltender totally flakes out and snoozes on an easy shot and you embarrass your former colonial masters!

I am trying to find the article i read that basically breaks down the top 20 or so teams according to their national stereotype.

Amazon.com: How Soccer Explains the World: An Unlikely Theory of Globalization (9780061978050): Franklin Foer: Books

By the way, i don't know if it is on this thread or not, but On Demand has the games that have already been played for those who want to watch games missed.
