yes i am. but still even if it is a draw or loss for england. currently Slovenia 4 pts GF - 3, GA - 2, GD - 1 United States 2 pts GF - 3, GA - 3, GD - 0 England 1 pt GF - 1, GA - 1, GD - 0 Algeria 0 pts GF - 0, GA - 1, GD - 0 with England Win (2-0) Slovenia 4 pts GF - 3 GA - 2, GD - 1 England 4 pt GF - 3 GA - 1, GD - 2 United States 2 pts GF - 3 GA - 3, GD - 0 Algeria 0 pts GF - 0 GA - 3, GD - (-3) next round, with a US win 2-0 to Algeria and a tie between Eng/Slovenia Slovenia 5 pts GF - 3 GA - 2, GD - 1 England 5 pt GF - 3 GA - 1, GD - 2 United States 5 pts GF - 5 GA - 3, GD - 2 Algeria 0 pts GF - 0 GA - 5, GD - (-5) First tie breaker is goal differential then total goals scored. at least that is the tiebreaker rule i can find.
not only is the draw btw england and algeria good for the US, the zero goals scored is also terrific. the US is good to go and will advance upon beating algeria.
There isn't one, and according to FIFA rules an official does NOT have to explain who he called a foul on or why.
So, Slovenia 4 pts goal differential of +1 United States 2 pts goal differential of 0 England 2 pts goal differential of 0 Algeria 1 pt goal differential of -1 If the US beats Algeria, the US is in. If England beats Slovenia and the US wins, it will be a tie for 1st place in the group between England and the US and the goal differential will determine who wins the group. If Slovenia beats England and the US wins, the US will come in 2nd in the group and advance. So basically, for every team its win and you are in, what is cool is the the US still has a chance to win this group and get a more favorable 2nd round match up. Krypto please correct me if am wrong.
Lasalle, you are right on. I just had a long discussin with my brother about this. US can even advance with a tie if Slovenia beats England. Also, the other thing worth noting is that if we win and Slovenia and England tie, we can get first place in the group on goal differential as well.
