Sometimes more Christiano Ronaldo is 2nd only to Floyd Mayweather, Lebron is 3rd, Messi 4th, Kobi Bryant 5th. And Matt Ryan is the highest paid football player according to forbes.
He is the 10th highest paid athlete. 1. Mayweather 2. Ronaldo 3. Lebron 4. Messi 5. Kobi 6. Tiger 7. Federer 8. Mickelson 9. Nadal 10. Ryan
If you are born with a soccer ball like most of the guys then it would be pretty impossible to be awkward. Scotland, Norway, China, and Ivory Coast have 6'8 players and a few goalies are that height.
Goalies are just some of the 6'8 players…Not all. The Ivory coast guy is a young freak of nature. Some are strikers, mid fielders, etc… If you grow up with a soccer ball like in many of these countries and make it your life it would be pretty hard to be bad in the sport or awkward in sport if given the athletic ability of James. Imagine someone like Calvin Johnson at Goalie. The US could put up a team of Hulks with the athletes in this country.
I'm still not sure about Lebron I've never seen a 6 foot 8 265 pound soccer player. Shit he already has cramp issues. Dude would die on a soccer field.
ESPN's Brad Edwards was on the Paul Finebaum Show yesterday. Edwards said he grew up playing soccer and is still a big fan. He talked about the best athletes in this country playing football and basketball in this country instead of soccer. He said that Barry Sanders with his skills would have been an awesome soccer player. He also said that with somebody to feed them headers for a goal that LeBron and Kevin Durant would be unstoppable.
But you are missing the main piece. If Lebron played soccer since he was a kid would he weigh 265 pounds? Probably not especially if his goals were to stay in soccer shape. He would probably be at a playing weight of around 215 like the other 6'8-6'9 international players.
The bigger players on the US team...Howard, Brooks, Cameron...are all in the 6'3, 200 pound range, so about the size of a big cornerback. With his size and speed, Pat Pete could have been an unbelievable soccer player, IMO.
