If the US finishes 2nd in this group they have an easier road to finals. 4 South American teams on one side including Brazil, on the side of the winner of the Group of Death. I hope the US ties, if they do Costa Rica is on that side, Mexico is on that side, the Dutch, France, and Argentina.
Pick your poison but I would rather USA face Algeria or Russia rather than Belgium to get to the group of 8. Once you are in the group of 8, the matches are incredibly impossible no matter what side you are on. Group of 8 is a big win for the USA.
