Who ya got Tirk, I did it! I did it! Reverse mojo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This just announced: David Price will now be the closer for the Tampa Rays in the World Series. Pitching matchups: Game 1, 5 = Kazmir vs Hamels Game 2, 6 = Shields vs Myers Game 3, 7 = Garza vs Moyer Game 4... = Sonnanstine vs Blanton
All kidding aside, this was one helluva series. Boston Red Sox are true champs. Tampa had to beat the best to get there. So much sweeter when that's the case.
I know Tampa didn't want it this way, but going 7 was the best thing that could have happened to them. They are gonna get 2 days off. Bullpen will be fully rested. The rotation lines up perfectly as follows: Kamir (5 days rest) Shields (4 days rest) Garza (5 days rest) Sheilds pitches at home for both of his starts. The rotation could not be set any better. Garza pitches at home in game 7 again, if necessary. Meanwhile, lots of rusty arms and bats over there on the northeast coast. Should be fun to watch. I got Rays in 6.
Ironic part about how the Rays got the home field advantage occurred in the All-Star game. Kazmir got the win in that game and none other than Brad Lidge got the loss. Interesting.
i was having withdrawals from a semi-legit football game or the mlb playoffs after mnf. i see no reason the big east and ACC cant play every weekday. who was that kazmir pitches a no-no yet walks 4 thru 6 then removed after 120 pitches. martin, do you still think it was a fair trade for victor zambrano?
