Does anybody outside of Indiana fans even care about that story/meltdown anymore?

It's pretty much accepted that this is who they are now and that they have no way out of the mess.

And I even believe that they could still come back and win the series, but again who cares, because they are not going to come out of the East (or even close).

I just .... as a player I want to know what happened. I mean this is a melt down much more epic than ours against Bama in the championship game. They went from being the most dominant team in the East to being ... complete shit and barely able to play together. Granger could not have had that much of an affect.

We can hope but it will be futile. Sam won't make a knee jerk decision like that right away. Sucks because this team can be so much better.

I haven't kept up that closely but heard that Hibbert always wanted to get a few plays run for him but was told that isn't the way to maximize their offense. Then, they bring in Bynum and start running plays for him. That may have been one of the many factors.

I watched all but the 1st qtr of Thunder/Grizz. Ibaka's put back was just about as close as it gets. I love everything about Westbrook's game except for those handful of shots (long 2s or 3s) that are a little out of rhythm and seem to have no chance of going in. In a tight series like this, it may be the difference.

Other than game 1, Durant has had a pretty low FG% in each game. He did some other things down the stretch to somewhat redeem himself although not sure if you can legitimately compare him to Lebron at the moment. In the regular season, he draws a lot of ticky tack fouls that give him easy free throw points. From the couple of games that I've seen in the series, they aren't giving him those free throws as often.

I'm not sure that I've ever seen a ref ice a player at the free throw line like that. Of course, it had to be Joey Crawford. That guy just looks like a punk. I bet he gets together with friends that worship him in the offseason to tell stories of putting down Tim Duncan or other big names.

Sounds like the NBA admitted to another blown call involving Dwight Howard. Game 1 had the foul called on him with 10 seconds left that should have put him at the line for free throws down 1 (instead, Freeland got free throws). Also in game 4, there were at least two calls very late in the 4th/OT that were missed (one was called out on Howard but obviously was knocked out by the Portland defender).

I've been mostly impressed by Howard in the series. He has played well and most of his in-game whining has seemed justified. Harden played better in game 4 but has been the bigger reason that the Rockets are down and almost out. I understand why Howard is an easy guy to hate but it seems like he's been fully embraced by his teammates and the fans. When he signed with the Rockets, I thought that I may hate him by now but I've grown to like him more.

I give Memphis credit, they are a really good team, probably the toughest 7 seed I have ever seen. That said, I think Brooks has done all he can with this team. It's time for him to go.
