    Unless the Lakers want to hand the game to the Suns, this game is over.

    You know Gentry, made a good adjustment taking Hill off of Kobe and putting Dudley on him, but hell they cant stop Gasol.
    Kobe with 12 assist is dangerous, he could be that much more of a better player with 7-11 assist a night. Hill caught fire on the offensive end, but Stoudamire, plays zero defense and thats why Gasol is basically in a layup drill for most of the game.

    Anyone care to expand on how the game went last night. I know the Suns won in a high scoring game and I expect the Suns to win if the score gets out of hand because that means they were probably running the fast break for much of the game and that is where they thrive.

    Was it one of those familiar games where the Suns focused on stopping the other players and let Kobe do his thing?

    I was watching Tudors and Treme instead. :)

    close game almost the whole time.

    -suns played zone.
    -lakers missed a ton of corner threes.
    -this allows phoenix to get into their offense and transition game.
    -amare made tough shots. odom and artest did not.
    -bynum hurt/foul trouble. then odom got into foul trouble.
    -suns had a billion ft's/lakers shot around 4 because of the zone.
    -as for kobe - he played extremely well and never tried to take over the game. fisher played pretty well, too.
    -long story short...no need to overanalyze. lakers missed opportunistic wide open shots...phx got to the line.

    I figured it played out like you said based on the score.

    Looks like the Suns struggled from 3 as well which is one of their strong suits. 5-20

    Lakers must have settled for shots.
