The other element that MJ gets over Kobe is that there was a direct torch passing from legends in the game. Although there have been greats in the game that Kobe has played with and progressed the game beyond MJ, there hasn't been the Magics or Byrds during this time period. Actual players may be better than they were, but the perception of being one of the greats isn't there for them.

I agree with both of you guys the league is deeper, but that still doesn't change the fact that Kobe has had a far better supporting cast throughout his career than Michael Jordan had. The Laker team right now, would be equal to the best Bulls players that were there when Mike won his championships. And that Laker team would still have the advantage in the paint.

Man if KG wouldn't have been injured last year, Boston could be talking about a 3 peat.

D Wade looks like LaBron, one shining star in an otherwise cloudy sky. Poor boy can't get no help. Of course it doesn't help when he makes 30 pts and Rondo our rebounds the next 3 players for Orlando all together.

i'm not one to pass out credit to Kobe. I can't stand the dude. Great player, top 10 greatest ever, still can't stand him. Plus there is no reason to believe that the Celtics couldn't beat them like they did the year before.
