Well I don't know who Craig Hodges is, but what about current GM John Paxon, who was a tremendous 3 point shooter.

You dont remember Hodges and yes I forgot about Paxon as well, deadly from the arc.

Paxon also likes to fight his head coaches:hihi:

Pau Gasol, Shaquille Oneal, Rick Fox, Glen Rice, Gary Payton, Robert Horry, Lamar Odom, Derek Fisher, Ron Harper, AC Green, Horace Grant, JR Rider, Mitch Richmond, Lindsey Hunter, Ariza, Bynum, Brown and Farmar.
    as opposed to.....

Paxon, Hodges, Kerr, Grant, Harper, Pippen, Wennington, Cartwright, Longley, Kucoc, Stacey King, Will Perdue, BJ Armstrong, Rodman, Scottie Burell, etc. everyone else are nobodies, except Rickey Blanton baby!!

Come on. Dennis Rodman is the one productive big Jordan ever played with. After that, Kerr, Hodges, Paxon were all great shooters, but Paxon was the only one out of those 3 who would give actual minutes. If you remember, Hodges and Kerr would come off the bench and average about 10 minutes a game in their prime.

Look at Kobe's list, its filled with All-Stars. MJ's not so much.

I agree with that, but he didnt have scrubs. Also Payton, Malone, Rice, AC Green, Horace Grant, Mitch Richmond, JR Rider all should have been drying cars at a car wash by the time they got with the Lakers and they didnt win with Payton and Malone, my boys (Pistons) beat them that year with that team.

    2nd 3-peat

    MJ
    Pippen
    Rodman

    Kobe
    Gasol
    Odom

After that, a bunch of role players on both teams. Bynum is good, but when is he not hurt?

You are right they didn't win with Payton, Payton ended up finally winning one in Miami with Shaq and D Wade.

All i am saying is that Kobe had far better players with him in his championship years. MJ had talent around him, but nothing like what Kobe has. And the presence of dominant bigs is huge.

A key question is how would each of their perspective teams have fared without them? The Lakers without Kobe, would not have been the dominant force they have been, but still would have been a very good competitive team. The Bulls without Jordan wouldn't have been worth a crap.

Didnt the Bulls go deep in the playoffs when Jordan was trying to hit a breaking ball in the minors?

You're right about that. An element we may not be able to compare, because he had already worked with and had a positive effect on the players around him. Something I am not sure we will get to experience with Kobe, to see how a team he had been to the championship with responds after he is gone.
