Well the Lakers/Suns series is officially over.

My worst fears have surfaced. The Suns have absolutely no answer for the Lakers defensively. What a mismatch of magnanimous proportions.

Suns will win 1 game at home (and even that will be closely contested).

And look at the career paths.

Both took a while til they finally won a championship.

    Both 3 peated.

Kobe looks like he might be on his way to his 2nd 3 peat just like MJ. Both will have had very different casts in the pair of 3 peats.

If he gets to 6 rings, there is no denying a frank discussion is up for debate on who is the greatest of all time. I think even with 5 rings, you're there.

Me too and it ain't even close. Kobe needs an extremely productive big to win rings. MJ could have won with the bad news bears and Scottie Pippen. The Lakers teams that Kobe has won with are freaking looooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaddddddeeeeeedddddd!!!!!!!

    Yep

Even if Kobe scores high 30's to 40's it is not a good sign when the rest of the team can't keep it close. Kobe is going to get his and you want him to take over and make the other Lakers work for baskets which was not the case last night. That is where Height comes into play. They did not play like the same team we have seen in the playoffs up to this point and I don't expect to see that team much this series because they are going to have to work their asses off for each basket when combating that height.

    Mismatch is right.

Not sure that the debate of talent to talent, when all is said and done, will have a clear "Who was the best ever", but when it comes to the debate of the overall player, talent, offensively, defensively, team player, ability to make players better, person in general, character, etc. I think that MJ will still be considered the best ever.

The league was alot tougher when Jordan played, but in this era the talent is better. Its a tough call.

Loaded with who, you must forget that Jordan had 2 of the best 3-point shooters in the history of the game during both of those runs. Steve Kerr and Craig Hodges, along with Pippen and Rodman (one of the best rebounders and defensive players ever) Horace Grant was terrible either

Lets not sit here and act like Jordan had a bunch of scrubs.

MM said he isn't sure what side of the argument he will be on between MJ and Kobe as the best ever.

Why did you say me too and then proceed to say there isn't an argument to be had?
