It is greatly appreciated, though, for us long distance fans! Sometimes I can pick up WWL at night here just outside DC, but not always.

    The problem is this...

We had a QB, Ryan Perrilloux, that thought he was bigger than LSU. Then he crossed the line one too many times. Then we were forced to start the future 2nd stringer and the future emergency QB. JJ was gonna redshirt, but he then became the emergency QB.

Then, we jumped out 4-0, everyone thought we were all that, until we lost to the team that I personally believe is the best team in the country. Then we came back and won a tough road SEC game, and apparently everyone thought we were all that again. Then the preseason #1 came in and beat us, primarily because the future 2nd string QB threw two pick 6's plus another that led to a FG, and the defense couldn't stop a good high school team that day.

Then we came back to beat Tulane by the same amount of points that the BCS National Champs beat them by last year, :)lsup::crystal:), and people are complaining.

Seriously though, it was expected by all rational people that this was a rebuilding year. We are rebuilding. We will likely have 3 losses this year, but as of now, we have two...both to highly touted SEC teams. Should we end the year with 3 losses, our rebuilding year will have us in the final top 20. Should we somehow win out, our rebuilding year will have us in the final top 10.

Do you remember the 90's? How about 2002?? 2004??

Did we play Tulane better than Bama? That score was 20-6. We did put more points on the board and the D allowed fewer points, only a FG.

I think most thought it would be minor rebuilding not a knock it to the ground a build it from scratch project. I think the record may end up where many thought but I think the majority thought the quality of play would be far far better. Sometimes it's not the wins and losses but how you win and lose. This team wins and looses very sloppy and ugly to say the least. I would be very happy with 9-3 at this point.

OK.... I guess I did kinda get caught up in the early success - but kinda believing the hipe about our above average defense I have been really shocked at how bad we are on defense... that is what I am upset about. Losing I can handle but being bombed twice & watching them close I see a lack of effort a lot of times...

We have had the fastest, hardest defense for the last 6 years. Thats what all the pundits praised (very seldom when they would) LSU about.
To now see that power diminished is quite a hard sale.

OT - Longhorns are inching up 29-26 TT. TT was in the redzone, must of had some flag thrown, they are now on the 26, but in scoring range, 6 mins to go.
