As always the LSU Band was #1 and still are. The final score of that game was Neb. 17 LSU 12........1971 Orange Bowl...
i hope we go into Ole Miss and throw the knock out early and then leave with a few style points against them....even if we beat ole miss by 40 or 50 i dunno if they would be considered style points though lol
This is why i worry about being no. 1 . We all seem to get overconfident and it is like survivor. The very second you get comfortable Bam the game turns. I am hoping for us to have a good game and get out of there with a victory. As Elvis used to say Takin care of Business
I don't see how anyone can be extremely confident about any of our games given how inconsistent we have been. Tulane played us tough until halftime and if not for LaTech's 2 self imposed early turnovers they likely would have been close at the half also. Our inability to run through LaTech, especially on 2 back to back goal line plays shocked me. Ole Miss has played several SEC schools well in close losses.
9-1 is consistent enough for me. And then got blown out, just as everyone expected. If any of those 9 teams we've beaten so far, would have outscored us, we would have another loss. But guess what. It didn't happen. Amazing that 2 plays didn't work in a game we won by nearly 50. Which would be nearly 20 points more than the spread for this game. Other than Florida and Bama, they have lost by at least 2 TD's in every conference game. I like our chances.
Good God dude. We won 58-10. Would you be happy if the score was 108-10 or would you still find something to complain about. Yes, we started slow and it was frustrating to watch, but we righted the ship. In case you didn't know we are the No.1 team in the nation with the No. 1 ranked defense. THE SKY IS NOT FALLING!!!!
I was there, too. Good game til the half.....then OM could do no right and LSU could do no wrong. After the score got so lopsided, and the outcome was obvious, here came the oranges...............I just laughed my fat arse off and yelled "sure am glad ya'll are not going to the Gator Bowl." Which is where OM did go that year. Lost to AUBURN lead by Pat Sullivan at qb. And it was Archie "You know damn well who" that beat the Tigers the two previous years. (they could not play freshmen back then) Seems like both of those games were 26-23. I'm too lazy to look it up. I do remember the Tigers played like gentlemen. BAD ASS GENTELMEN, BUT GENTLEMEN ALL THE SAME. They took no cheap shots at Archie and often helped him up after dumping him on his arse. I seem to remember that Archie's Mom commented later on the sportsmanship of the Tiger players.:thumb:
