Can our Tigers progress from playing one solid half of football to playing an entire game of LSU FOOTBALL!?! I do believe they will! Our tigers will make the next step towards a championship! LSU vs Georgia, 10/25/08 @ 2:30pm in Tiger Stadium. BE THERE! :milesmic: Anyone got tickets?
i will be. and no, i dont have tickets. unless you knock off staceyo and take the one she is getting.:hihi:
Gotta watch Penn State and Ohio State play for another BCS title slot.. Besides, we all know that LSU will wipe Georgia off of the field by the end of the second quarter.
Georgia will be one of the toughest teams LSU will face this year. Perhaps second only to Florida. The Tigers had better have their game face on and play all four quarters.
the infamous Skyler Green game was a 2:30 kickoff. the infamous UGA 34 LSU 13 SECCG was a 7:00 kickoff. Just sayin'. But Grad is right. LSU can not keep playing light bulb football (on again, then off again). They have to play a full game -- especially against someone like UGA. The keys for this one are plain and simple. 1. Take Moreno out and force third and longs. If UGA can get into 2nd and 5's or 3rd and 3's where they can run-pass and get the LSU defense guessing, they can hang 30+ on LSU. But when their offense becomes one dimensional, they are very stoppable. (see also: Bama game and USC game for UGA). 2. Turnovers/Penalties - Lee's weekly pick can not come at a bad time. LSU also has to avoid horse collaring a quarterback on a 2nd and 20 play and also having illegal shifts that negate pass plays that gain 30+ yards. Make the opponent beat you. Don't beat yourself. 3. Redzone offense - The LSU offense is not as high powered as it's been in year's past. So with that being said, when they get in striking distance, they need to 'double up' and get 6 and not 3. They've been lights-out in the redzone so far this season, but that has to continue against UGA. 4. Fast start - LSU fell behind 13 against Auburn in the 1st half. Fell behind 20 to UF. Fell behind 7 to USC. Go out there and steal an early lead and then let your powerful offensive line grind out the win for you. LSU has an amazingly talented offensive line and extremely talented backs, but unfortunately this season, the Tigers have not been able to fully use that to their advantage to dominate T.O.P. the way they'd like to, because they've had to play uphill in all three of the 'big' games they've played in. LSU does 0 of those 4 things, they get crushed. They do 1 of those things, they lose by 7-13. They do 2 of those things, it's a pick'em. 3 or more, the Tigers are 6-1 this time next week.
