222 yards, 88 yards passing, 7 points, 4-15 ON THIRD DOWN.

You're an idiot. We're much improved against a better team than we faced last year. Dual-threat QBs seems our only weakness.

Cmon guys, thread was completely insult free till just after the game. Let it geaux.

It was FAR from a pretty win but the D certainly did a turn around and who woulda thunk KW would be this far ahead of Scott in total yards with a few in the end zone?

Oline got some work to do. We will look pretty skanky gainst some gators and gumps if they don't.

Yes the D backs actually got to the ball better than Vandys recievers sometimes. That seldom happened last year and we contained alot better than we did, and Man that one little runnng back for Vandy is that good. We will be alright , Ive got faith in Coach,:tigereye:

I think the best thing to take away from tonite's game is the improvement on defense. We got burned a few times, sh*t happens. The offense was,,,,,,I'm not too sure what our game plan was here, very conservative. But, I'm not a coach, and we beat them. We beat them pretty good too. I'm glad Sheppard got some minutes, I think he'll be a little more hungry. Vandy is not a bad team, they'll beat most of their opponents. I think we need to work on the up-the-field passing game, but hell, what do I know. We still have 2 more games to practice. I'm really happy about the schedule this year. We really have 4 games to get our sh*t together before we play a raally good opponent.

And if you guys didn't notice, Washington had a HUGE win tonite. Washington was a QUALITY opponent for our first game. That'll bode well in the rankings eventually.

Great post. The only real concern I have was our red zone offense, we settled for fg's that should have been td's. Credit Vandy's defense for the stops. And yes, it is apparent that UW might not have been the push over they were expected to be.

I think both Oline and Dline need improvement...especially the Dline they have to much talent to let teams run all over them and not get any type of penetration and pass rush.

I agree. The defense picked it up in the second half. Seems like the coaches just didn't want anymore turnovers. We all know what happens to a football when it gets wet, hence not going downfield once it started raining, and the safety (ouch, didn't see that coming). This was a GOOD win. A little messy, but good. Both the defense and the offense showed flashes of brilliance. Keiland Williams looked very good tonight. Can't remember when he's looked better. Will this be his year like last year was Scott's? Shepard is going to be special. Can't wait to see him hit the endzone for the first time....should be the first of many in purple and gold.

Overall, we're getting better. We've played two quality opponents and found a way to win both games. That's a good sign. Adjustments were made at halftime, mainly on defense, and they worked. A few times the safeties were out of position, which they'll work on in practice.

They'll study the film and practice and work on things and get better. People really need to get off the coaching staff's asses. These guys eat, breathe, and crap football. They do it for a living. They've been doing it for a long time. Nobody's perfect, but they know a hell of a lot more about this game than anyone else. If someone out there thinks they can do better, maybe you should have contacted Coach Bertman about the job vacancy.

I think this is a concern for all of us. Granted, Vandy's defense held up, but it seemed like once we got into the redzone that we just quit throwing the football. I'm sure the weather played a small part in the play calling.
