Rejoice! for it has finally come. Baseball begins at the New Box this Friday, 7pm; Sat, 2pm; Sun, Noon. Baseball will be on 98.1 all season for every single game. The opener will be televised on CST, and special pregame ceremonies will take place at 6:15 where no doubt Skip's special brand of voodoo will make it's return. Tickets are only still available for the Sunday game, and your Saturday stub gets you into the Men v. Auburn game for $5. You better believe the chickens are excited for this one:wave:
I hope I'm not the only one looking forward to listening on the radio. Baseball is so much more magical when you're forced to pay more attention to the game situation and count, imagining what's really happening because you're visually impaired without TV. I remember sitting in class in high school with a transistor radio in my bookbag listening to the world series via those monaural earphones; hiding the wire underneath my shirt and turning my head so the teacher couldn't see it coming out of my collar. I remember getting busted once by one teacher in particular who'd then make me update the class inning by inning.
I'll watch. I out of work for a few weeks due to elbow surgery. I guess me and Tommy John have something in common. Well not as extreme but still hurts like all hell.
Ahhh, what a wonderful time of yr. Baseball, all a new, new stadium, and high hopes as we return to the glory days. Also, with a little bit of luck the Basketball team makes a lil push into post season. This is going to be a very exciting off season. We might actually be able to have exciting topics to discuss.
