Interesting day of college football so far.

#23 Michigan is losing to Indiana (the worst team in the Big 10) at the half.

#18 Florida State is losing 0-14 to USF in the 3rd Q.

#22 UNC is losing 0-10 to GT in the 3rd Q.

#20 Kansas is only up on Southern Miss 21-14 at the half.

#14 Cincinnati is only ahead of Fresno St 21-17 in the 3rd Q.

    I agree wholeheartedly.

I wouldn't expect many yards on the ground by "juke'n and jive'n" because of the conditions (9 rushing yards by LSU...MSU has 34) but you would THINK that we could do SOMETHING on the ground.

Defensively, we're doing pretty well. MSU with under 100 yards total offense (pending the game stats on ESPN are accurate and up to date) and 4 turnovers.

This is ALL on the offense right now. When your defense causes 4 turnovers, you have got to put more than 10 points on the board (defense put up 6).

We can't line up in the I-formation because MSU is just beating us off the ball and that's got to be fixed.

In weather like this, it's all about being more physical than your opponent and in this game, BOTH defenses are MUCH more physical than the offenses.

We might not have a lot of sacks, but DAMN! Alem is laying the wood on that poor Moo U QB!

Right after that, the sideline reporter asked him if he was satisfied with the way his team is running the ball and he said "not even close".

Maybe he will change some things at halftime, but on 3-1, to pitch the ball 5yards behind the lOS is pretty retarded, and that goes on the OC. That is who LM should be reaming at half time. The players are not doing to bad, but GC is not putting them into many positive positions to make great things happen.

It's from his blind side as well. He'll be thinking about releasing the ball a lot sooner now.

I am not as upset with our players as i am our offensive co-ordinator.

On a wet field you dont attack running side ways.

Throw routes with your receivers running upfield.

And dont run the option to the short side of the field.

These are basic football 101 type things.

Crowton has been an offensive coach for a long time and should know these fundamental type things about offense.

I dont get it. Have we ever thought about a misdirection play off tackle.

A trap play or use sheppard as a tailback.

Very dissapointed in the plan of attack against an inferior team.

I dont think anyone here would say Miss. St is comparable to LSU in talent.

Decision to punt block. red zone confusion. I hope we come out and play a good fundamental game inthe second half.

Even on a wet field you can play sound fundamentals.

with our play makers, I would prefer to see us lineup with split backs. I think that offers a different look than the I or the pistol, and defense can't overload to the short side of the field where we have a tendency to run to.

with the over pursuit to the short side, that would be a good time for a reverse. especially if TH can flip to lafell or shep

I'd like to see us come out in the second half with Jefferson, Shepard, Lee, and Randle all in the backfield. Something is bound to happen.
