Talked to one of the players a few times over the weekend- there was an offensive meeting Friday night, a pitching meeting Saturday, and then no meeting today- but a team meeting tomorrow at 2:30PM on their day off. You know that's not a good kind of meeting. I heard that CPM was most pissed with the bats ruining Anthony's performance Friday.
I don't worry about series like this. As I stated before they always have an off series...especially during championship seasons. :tigbas: As far as wood bats they use aluminum for the safety factor. Aluminum doesn't splinter.
Haig is a hell of a pitcher but I'll bet money that Reeser never has another outing like that one. Even in the 90s, LSU had trouble with "junk" throwers.
Bump where is the anger with the baseball team. where did you call coach Mainieri out. this was Illinois team and we were ranked #1 in the nation. How can any fan put up with this tell them JayB. I was more upset with this series than the UW football game. The baseball team should have distroyed them. How convent YOU made excuses saying their pitching was good...... You know what I believe Locker was just as good. AND WE WON.

yes I did I was WAY more upset bout the way the BB team played and we lost the series. JayB made excuses..... It keep eating me up and his last rant. I had to go find it I remember it well.
Re: yes I did It's a good lesson anyway. Early season performances are not indicative of the end result. JayB will be fine. He's just glad to be back and wanted to kick some butt.
