Hope his family has bail money ready! If he is in Tiger Stadium on Thanksgiving night, he is subject to arrest for trespassing. Alleva clearly stated that LSU will NOT play A&M on Thanksgiving at home....when LSU hosts the game, it will be on that Friday juist like the Arkansas game was scheduled years ago. As far as this pompous nobody, my guess is his position will be on the bench the entire game...that is, if he gets bailed out in time.
What's his story? Was he never a target of LSU? Looking at his offer list, it looks like a lot of secondary tier schools along with minor Power Five conference schools.
LSU never offered the guy. He has a very few good offers but once again were those committable? If he called up Sarkasian at USC and said "I'm yours" would USC have accepted it...seriously doubt it. On the services, he is a medium 3*...yes, someone took Rivals rating on him as #5 player in LA ....obviously Rivals knows something that no other service knows because no one else had him a 4*. Bottom line: IMO, LSU did exactly the right thing...offered much better players.
didnt sound like trash talking. if he was trying for that, he needs to take a course. he was asked about LSU. what else was he supposed to say. i was expecting to see something much worse given the title.
Couldn't he find any linebackers? Since we only signed one last year and none this year it would seem to be a critical need.
I think Alleva has also said that LSU would only play A&M on Thanksgiving on the road in those years when there are two bye weeks. It would be a total waste if LSU had to use their only bye in a season before the last game of the season. I wouldn't object to playing them on Thanksgiving if both teams had a game on the preceding Saturday and would play on short rest like they do for Thursday games in the NFL.
Technically, LSU signed 2 LBers in the 2014 class (Clifton Garrett and Donnie Alexander) but your point still remains. Not Frank Wilson's fault...Chavis' fault. He was the LBer coach...he was the DC. He has say over which LBers to go after and the fact that he didn't offer guys like McGinnis or late on others, that just proves what most of us already knew. Chavis is a poor recruiter and talent evaluator (still waiting for the few guys he recruited like Neal, Gilmore, and Herron to pan out)...he did recruit TN and NC and 2 years in the program and have contributed little so far. If it makes you feel better, LSU has a huge lead for the #1 LBer in the country for the 2016 class....Keion Joyner a 6-3 OLB from North Carolina.
I agree, but I don't know what leverage LSU has playing A&M in College Station on Thanksgiving. But A&M in BR, if the SEC office tried to force LSU to play on Thanksgiving at home, the first two calls I would make would be 1) SEC office telling them where they could stick it (not a pleasant place BTW) and it's not happening and if they argue for 1 second 2) I would be calling the Big 12 conference to gauge interest in changing conferences. I am damn sick and tired of LSU getting stepped on by an office that happens to be a short distance from TuscaLOSER and everything seems to revolve around Alabama and Georgia...schedules...whether conference championship games/tournaments are played etc.
Regarding linebackers, I assume we don't have any tweener kind of guys that might be able to move to linebacker out of this class?
