If I had to pick one guy who is still out there unsigned, if eligible, I would try to get Roquan Smith the 50th best player in the country...the OLB from Georgia. That is who LSU needed to begin with...even more than Lewis since Lewis is MLB and Smith OLB.
Missed on 8 of the top 15 per Rivals... So you may suck upon my left nut, pal... One of them is a four star LB... Seems like LSU could use a few of those...
Oh yeah, Rivals is the outstanding group that has Bussey like #5 or something and Raymond #8 . LSU offered neither player. Thanks but no thanks on Rivals list. 24/7's own list or their composite list is superior to that one. Oh, and you never did answer the question....if there are a bunch of WRers in the top 15, LSU should sign them all just to get your version of a good class...regardless of need? Once again, thanks but no thanks. For the record, I already said that I would have offered McGinnis but that was your boy Chavis who screwed that up. Once again, LSU signed 9 out of the top 15 and most of the others were at positions filled by better prospects.
Per an article in The Advocate: In all, LSU signed 15 players from Louisiana. For the sixth time in Miles last 10 signing class, the Tigers reeled in seven of the top 10. They’ve never signed less than five of the top 10 in the state and got the top three this year in Johnson, Guice and Jackson. This group might have paled in comparison to a 2014 class that ranked No. 2 nationally, but the Tigers got what they needed and kept a host of highly touted skill guys home. http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/11517521-123/lsu-signs-seven-of-louisianas
It is hilarious how Miles is STILL being persecuted by a few nutcases for the Ole Miss game of several years ago when Houston Nutt was head coach. It is funny because every single college football weekend, I see multiple games with worse time management than Miles ever did. Even the God little Nicky has gone to halftime (vs Auburn) with 2 timeouts in his pocket and had to try a FG because he ran out of time. The announcers even chastized him for it. I believe it was the 2013 game. And as far as coaching decisions, the guy who won the Super Bowl last year has gotten a tad criticized for allowing a pass to be thrown from the 1 yard vs New England in the Super Bowl this year. You have people who just don't like coaches and really don't have the guts to come out and say it without coming up with some scam excuse as to why. The ONLY person who has never had multiple time management issues or "bad decisions" is the person who has never coached a football game.
Someone is not too happy with LSU... Texas A&M signee talks trash to LSU KEVIN DUFFEY February 5, 2015 @ 2:02pm Bussey is a three-star running back from New Orleans, Louisiana. Some of the notable quotes from the interview: On choosing Texas A&M over Tennessee… “Texas A&M… they pretty much run the same system we ran in high school as far as pace and spread offense.” “I feel like it will be an easy transition as far as getting on the field early.” “Go where you’re wanted and go where you’re needed.” On playing LSU… “That’s a game we always have circled being from New Orleans” “Thanksgiving night, we’ll be at Tiger Stadium ready to tear it up…. we’re ready to tear ‘em apart.” On the recruiting process… “It’s been stressful for me and my family” “I wish it was over a year ago” “I found my home and I’m ready to compete” The Aggies picked up a powerful running back:
Thanks Frank: SEC: Frank Wilson - LSU Coach Wilson is known as 'Coach Frank' around the Boot State and he cleaned up this year in his home state. Wilson has a great reputation as a recruiter and he is well liked, respected on the road in the state of Louisiana. He was a big part of LSU's success in their home state this cycle and he played in a role in over 10 of their signees. He was the lead recruiter for guys like, Donte Jackson, Derrius Guice, and Tyron Johnson, all Scout 100 prospects. - Chad Simmons
