We lost some in state recruits and that hurts. The Toshiro Davis thing is hard to swallow right now. I can't remember when we lost the top 2 or 3 in state prospects before. Not being a negatiger...and I do think we get a good class...but man I wish we could have kept one of the top 3.
Quick question. I see on several sites that we have 4 players, I think, who are early enrollees. If I remember, LSU said they had 7 spots. They had 7 kids coming in early to enroll. Then, LSU said a graduation problem from one kid made available only 6 Spots, which cost us Patrick Miller. Then, Kiel did not use his spot. Am I to believe that LSU has 2 open spots for players that could/wanted to enroll early? IF so, and it cost us Miller, heads should roll for such an administrative screw up. Do I have this wrong??
6 spots open Kiel was to take the 6th and last spot over the O-lineman from Florida. What a goddamn shame.
I agree, you hate to see any of the big nasaty's get away like that. I see with your post #1, that Hill is an early enrollee. I thought he did not quite get paperwork in early enough, or clearance? to be enrolled early, which is where my math was off. I wonder should they have asked Hill to take the greyshirt through the Spring and tried to keep Miller? Obviously, Ferguson has the fewest amount of stars behind his name, and I think it would be just as difficult to have asked one player to take the greyshirt vs another. Strange situation by LSU making the mistake. By he way, not to belittle Ferguson at all with the stars comment. But, If you watched him in the All Star game, he was shooting rockets back to the punter and placeholder. He will be an all star for 4 years for us at deep snapper. Hell, I think he has a better arm snapping it through his legs than Jefferson did throwing it overhand.
THIS They have top recruiting classes very year! This year is no different and nothing special --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=29.800737,-95.579022
