Thomas is the #3 TE according to Scouts, if he doesn't get a full offer something is very wrong!
He has grades issues. He needs to get his grades up a shade this spring in order to qualify. It has nothing to do with LSU's handling of his recruitment. Once he qualifies, he'll get the scholarship and count towards 2012. It is expected to happen in early June. Obviously things have been made much easier by the defection of Davis and not getting someone like Elston or Patterson.
Think we are pretty much done with this class. It's a very good one. The only reason there is some measure of disappointment is because we're competing for the very best players in the country. At the end of the day, we're not going to get every recruit and we're going to miss on some. The top ranked player in Louisiana doesn't always stay home. We saw that with Joe McKnight. Lots of factors go into each kid's decision. The bottom line is LSU is still loaded with talent, has recruited well enough to compete for the SEC championship, and as long as we develop these kids the program will be fine. No one kid defines a class. Kiel, Landon, and Toshiro all didn't select LSU, yet the staff and Miles found players to fill those spots.. and they might develop into better players. We'll know in four years for sure.
