CNN's Van Jones went for the weepy soliloquy. Said it wasn't a miracle, but a nightmare....a "white-lash". So was Obama's 2 terms a "black-lash"? I don't recall that term being deployed. But this had me SMH...."It’s hard to be a parent tonight for a lot of us,” Jones said. “You tell your kids, ‘Don’t be a bully.’ You tell your kids, ‘Don’t be a bigot.’ You tell your kids, ‘Do your homework and be prepared.’ And then you have this outcome, and you have people putting children to bed tonight, and they’re afraid of breakfast. They’re afraid of ‘How do I explain this to my children?’' Afraid of breakfast? Seriously? What does that even mean? It's hard to be a parent at ALL times. It's been hard the last 8 years to explain to my kids why increasing amounts of my disposable income were being taxed away by the government that I didn't vote for and don't agree with. It's been hard the last 3 years trying to help my son in particular, assimilate in to the Common Core method. It's been hard the last 8 years preparing my over-achieving daughter to accept that even though she checks off every box of a college application, she may well be rejected because she's the wrong color. It's wasn't hard, but interesting to explain to my kids why the female who claimed she respected everyone, wanted to call other people deplorables. It's been hard to convey to my kids that even though the people who hold government jobs aren't people I like or respect, they are still expected to pay their taxes, be good citizens, and respect those who call them names. But breakfast? Nah....that one's easy.
Anti-Trump protest in Portland stops I-5 traffic,.. about 200 douchbags protest election results get over it, move on
I saw that shit. These guys going after the race angle are over simplifying and getting it wrong, just so they can have a quote. That guy was ridiculous.
They'd better enjoy while they can. The days of rioting are coming to a close and "Law & Order" soone to be back in.
I'm not going to pretend I know what it's like to be African American, but I'd bet when they hear shit like "take our country back" and "make America great again" a lot and I mean a lot of them probably ask "take your country back from who?" And "when was America great?"
