Not much pro Cowboy sentiment here, but dude has 19 sacks. Needs 3.5 in the last 2 games to break gap-tooth's record. He is on pace to get it, in that he's been averaging some 3-4 a game the last few weeks. Should be interesting. This guy is proof of how the media influences public perception. He now has more sacks than Joey Porter. But because Porter is a loud mouth, people think he should be hands-down the Defensive MVP and Ware never gets mentioned.
No doubt, D Ware is an absolute beast! One of the most underrated players in the NFL along with Andre Johnson. Right now, he's the best DE in football.
How? I haven't heard anyone downplay Ware's success. After this game, I think he may surpass Porter as far as the DPOY thing is concerned. Considering the lack of talent and what they went through last year, Porter is riding the wave of the Dolphins resurrection hype, and rightfully so. Even still, I would give it to Ware. The guy is a beast, and his supporting cast doesn't hurt his production. And I thought Marcus Spears would be better than he has been. Very disappointing.
I didn't mean it in any sort of negative way. Just the guy has been going stride for stride with Porter all year, but without the headlines. Nothing wrong with that. Ware probably would rather it that way.
After tonight, I think Ware could get a lot more publicity. Miami doesn't play on national TV very often, and Ware showed what he's all about tonight.
I think that's because the media is so obsessed with TO imploding that they don't look at the positive in big D.
after watching the "eff the world" attitude the team played with tonight, I think this last episode will be better for the team.
There's no doubt Dallas has the defense to win it all. But can Romo/TO/Witten etc come together? Romo should call a meeting with the ENTIRE offense and get everything out on the table. None of this he-said/he-said crap leaking to the media. They have the talent to win it all, but will they beat themselves again?
Not sure how many people out of the greater miami-fort lauderdale area know that Joey Porter has a shot at breaking the NFL record for sacks. Not quite buying the overhyping of Porter.
you don't watch ESPN News much, brother. They are forever showing whoever he bad-mouthed in that week and then talking about how he led to the "change of culture in Miami", etc...
