2nd time we have had 3 brothers. The Jeffersons went from bad to ok to great. Hope we get the same progression of improvement with the Weeks brothers.
We didn't have the Jeffersons at the same time though. We could even see these 3 on the field at the same time, if Baker puts in a 4-3.
Rivals reporting (sounding more and more like Michigan has no recruiting staff; they're just going to go after all of our commitments) that Michigan made a run at Damien Shanklin, but he has shut down his recruiting, intends to sign with LSU next week and enroll in January. 4-star DE.
@Hou-duco Preston Guy points out we had the 3 Taylor brothers (Brandon, Jhyryn and Curtis) at the same time in 2008. They all played different positions, though.
When the Weeks brothers are all together on the team next year someone should submit this as one of those Aflac trivia questions to name the other 2 families who had 3 brothers play for LSU.
An even deeper family connection at LSU was the Kinchen family. Gus was on the 1958 NC team with Billy Cannon. His son Brian was a TE & long snapper who played in the NFL His other son Todd was a WR who also had a good NFL career. Brian Kinchen had 2 sons who were long snappers for LSU.
So, in the current state of NCAA affairs, Brian Kelly can't even mention a recruit by name, but two megarich donors can meet with said recruit on a zoom call and lay out in detail how many millions he will get to commit to their school (one of whom isn't even an alumni of the school, but his trophy wife is, and she wants a 5-star QB for Christmas). Do I have it right? And can someone tell me again how college football is better than the NFL?
He can have fun with that. They are about to lose or fire their coach and life won't get better for them.
