Love the left handed dig at the #ForeverLSU until its in my financial interest to quit on my team group when praising Kirklin: "He never thought of transferring."
The personal shortage I would expect to show more in the 3rd and 4th. To me the biggest surprise was KShit's first 3 possessions when they just drove down the field in a dominant fashion.
At the CB position we might have been lower than 3rd string. No Stingley, no Ricks, no Flott, no McGlothern. The easy long passes help them keep those long early game drives going.
I agree with you that those opting out quit on the team. I am not sure how everyone else feels about it, but I would be in favor of not letting those who opted out from participating in any on campus pro day workouts for the NFL scouts.
How many 3rd and 4th and long did they convert? Seemed like every damm one of em and all by passing. Not our DB's fault, couple of plays maybe.
The reality is we probably should have not played the game, simply from a competitive standpoint. KSU had all their players and beat some decent teams like TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia. I appreciate the effort all the players put out, but we were missing so many key players that the game was really over before it began. We had players out there for the first time ever and it showed. The worst part about this situation is we had some - not all - players quit and abandon the team and that's sad! Hopefully, CBK can recruit players that want to be at LSU for the right reasons!
What I mean is they were 3rd 4th stringers and their DB coach was not there to get them ready enough. In addition the KS QB was not chopped liver that guy is solid. Sorry they were out of position most of the night.
