Just wrapping up my final thoughts. I did mention "at the risk of sounding like a broken record". I know y'all get it but was just so freaking dumbfounded by our incessant running into a stacked defense all night had to mention it again. Kirklin will never be our QB but the boy has a pretty good arm. Cut me some slack bro.
If someone told me kirklin threw 3 tds i would have bet the farm we won going away…. this was as much about the d as kirklin…
This is about us being undermanned on both sides of the ball. 38 scholarship players plus walk ons isn’t enough to field a team that would be competitive. If I were K State I’d be embarrassed by how close the game was. They have nothing to celebrate. To blame and unit, player or coach for the result is petty.
K State players were sooooooooo cocky beating us with 38 scholarship players. Man would love to see them in a bowl next year when would kick their asses back to the wheat fields with 48 scholarship players.
That's a great point. You have to figure Brennan is in the lead now and Nuss and Howard fighting for #2. Howard has the advantage in ability (lets just say) and Nuss's advantage is experience. Skill stands out more in practice and experience counts more in games. But you gotta win the job in practice to get an opportunity to play in games. Nuss passed up a chance to increase and display his best advantage. Not good.
