Agree, he fills a huge need, but 2 out of 6 targets today is very disappointing. Additionally we lost 2 of 2 of the in state targets. I can't figure out losing Le’veon Moss to Miami. Most of the recruiting websites I saw had Auburn and Fla. as the competition. Miami wasn’t on the radar
Yeah. Slightly disappointing day getting only 2 of 6. If we get either Matthews or Lewis, today is a win. Getting neither sucks. Harold Perkins is huge though. That’s a position of need, and he’s an elite talent. He will be a starter at least by year’s end, if not day 1.
My bad, you are correct. Yes, Moss went to A&M. TreVontae’ Citizen was the player from Lake Charles who we lost today to Miami.
transition year coming off of 5-5 and 6-7 seasons with a hc announced 2 weeks prior to early signing day... we'll be aight.....
247's Louisiana top 10 for 2023: 1. Arch Manning (5*), QB, Newman - 247 doesn't even mention LSU as a contender (Bama, Uga, Ole Miss and Texas all "warm") Given the Manning's relationship with LSU, this would be an incredible upset to get him. 2. Shelton Sampson, Jr (5*), WR, Catholic BR - they list him as 100% LSU 3. Jaiden Ausberry (4*), LB, University Lab - Legacy recruit, but given his dad's current relationship with LSU, virtually no chance we get him. 4. Derek Williams (4*) S, Westgate - Listed as 100% LSU, but Corey Raymond is going to be all over him. 5.Tackett Curtis (4*) LB, Many - LSU currently not listed as a contender. 6. Eli Holstein (4*), QB, Zachary - Texas A&M commit. I have to think if BK wants a QB out of this class, he may have a better shot at flipping Eli than he does of luring Arch. 7. Omarion Miller (4*) WR, North Caddo - LSU commit 8. Curley Reed (4*) CB, Lake Charles Prep - interesting current top 5, according to 247, LSU, Colorado, Arizona St, Florida St, Kansas St. 9. Jordan Matthews (4*) CB, Woodlawn - 100% LSU 10. Kylin Jackson (4*) S, Zachary - they show a current top 5 of Arkansas, LA Tech, ULL, FLA Atlantic, and Louisville Even in a perfect world, 10 out of 10 for LSU is impossible; you're not getting both Manning and Holstein. And of course, not getting Ausberry either. Right now, 7 out of 10 looks like the best we can do to me. The two WRs, the two CBs and Williams are absolutely have to have. Then catch up on Curtis and one of the QBs.
