Bama has damn strong lines in place; their class includes (compared to LSU in parentheses): 2 OT (1) 1 OG 1 OC 3 DT (1) 3 DE (1)
What’s the amount of offensive linemen that a team normally has? According to depth charts, Bama currently has 12 linemen whereas LSU has 14. Bama will most likely lose more linemen than LSU will when the season ends.
Keep in mind we have 3-4 spots left. This class should end as our best of all time. Unfortunately Bama’s class might be the best class of any school all time.
We had a good signing day despite Saban giving O hell for the RTWFU beat their ass in recruiting speech taking Earle and Koht. He's out for blood, but we kept Sage Ryan and Maason Smith from him. Key will be landing Tristan Leigh who had he signed early wasn't gonna be here. And we still trail, but let's hope playing time matters to him. Mom hopefully has major say. Raesjon Davis hopefully stays on board, rumor is he will if we don't have coaching changes defensively he doesn't like. USC feels confident obviously. Big key is filling out the offensive line with Tristan, that kid from FSU and maybe another Harvard transfer and re-recruiting our entire offensive line to return. Brian Thomas Jr. ship hasn't sailed either.
I agree. I think maybe it isn't as bad as I first thought, but that's kind of always been a rule of thumb. As a baseline, you need at least 3 every cycle, maybe more, depending on extenuating circumstances like above average attrition.
