Like mctiger said, it's slim pickings. We were in on a few, but it looks like Leigh is our best shot. Not sure why we aren't doing well there.
We got 4 WR's today and among them the # 1 recruit in Mississippi who we flipped. Good thing they don't believe what many at TF thinks of our OC. They must be impressed so I will take their word that they want to play for him.
247sports has Leigh at 50% Oklahoma, 31% LSU. They also show Oklahoma having 11 tackles already on the roster, and 2 signed. LSU has 6 on roster and 1 signed. Why would he want to go to Oklahoma?
I don’t get it either. I read that his mom was in BR picking out schools for his kid brother just a few months ago, but he was 100% set to sign with Oklahoma last night until he had zoom meetings with a couple teams and then put his decision off. I guess my point is, he was ready to come here at one point so it’s doable, but as of late, he has not been about LSU. There’s a kid committed to FSU that they are going after and then another JUCO transfer from Australia(no clue how eligibility would work coming from there). We should get at least 1 more OL in this class, but it doesn’t look like it’s Leigh right now.
Once again I'll demonstrate that I don't follow recruiting. I looked at the LSU site and we have signed 6 RBs, WRs, & TEs. And one OL. What good is to have talent at the skilled positions if you don't have anyone that can block for them?
The whole fan base is criticizing O and Cregg for this. This year is a down year for our OL recruiting. Next year should be better. There is a big time OT from Neville that we hopefully can hang on to.
