So is the glass filling or cracked and never be full? To listen to some of you the early signing day and yesterday was a disaster in a continuing series. Apparently the loss of Ish hit your already damaged psyches like a sledgehammer. It’s a false narrative. Here are the facts as compiled by Dandy Don LSU’s 2019 signing class is in the books after the Tigers signed six players yesterday to complete its 25-man class. The six include WR Devonta Lee, cornerbacks Maurice Hampton and Jay Ward; OT/TE Ray Parker; and DE/OLBs Soni Fonua and Desmond Little. With those on board, LSU’s class finishes at No. 3 in Rivals’ Team Rankings, No. 3 in USAToday’s Composite Team Rankings, No. 4 in 247Sports Team Tankings, No. 5 in 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, and No. 7 in ESPN’s Team Rankings. THE WORST EVALUATION WAS THAT WE FINISHED 7th!!! There’s nothing to whine over and plenty to celebrate. Now it’s up to O and the staff to develop a group that has a much talent and potential as any in the nation.
Any loss to Bama seems devastating these days. You're right, this is an outstanding class. The two brightest points to me are, we were almost perfect at keeping the major in-state prospects home, and with Stingley, Hampton and Jones - combined with Ricks' early commitment - we bounced back strong from last year's DB strikeout. The biggest loss was the 0'fer on d-linemen yesterday. We're pretty deep for now, but we'll have to score big next year the way we did with corners this time.
So you’re ignoring those we signed in December? They don’t count? Of course I’d like him to sign more but with Rashard and Fieko staying we’re pretty strong and deep. We need more next year but this isn’t the crisis so many make of it.
it is a big deal...chicken/egg kind of thing. ed whiffed on all of his dl prospects, all who were on campus last week not a good finish for a really good class. Have to keep Roy and the others on board. a big 2019 will help with recruiting we have to have Sopsher to beat Alabama in recruiting and on the field....we aren’t there yet
