I like what I see in Curry, but hope we also steal Joiner. I doubt we have any signing day surprises, but it's a solid class. I expect O to bring in the high rated players we're accustomed to. However, this is a good class that fills in a lot of needs. With Brennan and Narcisse being Soph and R-Fr next year, QB will certainly be a need.
We are potentially going to round out the class with the following players: (The first two are near locks) Surtain, Jr #5 Nationally Joseph #37 Nationally Goodrich #110 Nationally Joiner #124 Nationally We would end up with 2 Five Star 13 Four Star 10 Three Star An average rating of 90.47. These numbers would be considered a very successful class, on par with what we've done the past 15 seasons. End up with just over 270 points on 247sports composite, which probably leaves us somewhere between 8th and 10th nationally.
If we end up with those 4 to close out, I would be extremely happy. Do they take Goodrich over JChase, and tell him to take a hike, or do you not think Chase would pick us to begin with? He originally committed to FLA, then was leaning to TCU, but is supposedly considering us seriously now. If they took Chase and Goodrich, then I think that means Joiner’s out of the picture, and we stay thin at RB. Having Chase and Marshall at WR would be sick.
I'd take a flyer on RB rather than WR or QB at this point. 2019 Noah Cain >>> 2018 Harold Joiner. Joiner would be the best of the RB bunch in this class though. Get Cain next year and not worry about Joiner if it means getting Chase or a highly-rated QB. I suspect though it'll be Joiner...
