Interesting, but you are talking a TR FR and hey, you can't take away one of our 10000 TEs/H backs. Probably the better options would be moving Melvin Jones back to FB if he stays academically eligible or maybe a Michael Patterson a DE to OLB. Both of those players have lots of experience in HS playing defense.
I think 1 or 2 wr's can come in and make an impact....maybe come in as slot receiver to take pressure of other wr's we have
James Smith said yesterday on a podcast "Arden Key will have the most talent of any LSU DE on the roster. I will be very surprised if he isn't starting by week 6 of the 2015 season." IMO, I think Ducre could very well be the starting FB. 2 or 3 of the OL like Teuhema and Weathersby for example will get some playing time....not starters. Toliver may very well start at a CB position. And for God's sake, let's get T White off of punt returns and L Fournette off of KO returns. Fournette did break the 1 return against ND but that was his only TD from KOR. I don't believe White had a PR for a TD. I looked up their rankings and these aren't perfect but I believe for guys with double digits number of returns, White was ranked like 40th in the nation and Fournette like 25th. Sorry but you don't risk starting position players for that duty unless they are like top 5 or something. Take a D Jackson or some such and put him back on returns.
I believe he is signing later today. He has to go to Juco for 2 years anyway so if signs or not he will be open to everyone to recruit the next 2 years.
Well, I hope Leo Lewis is happy. IF he signed with LSU, we would have easily ended up in 3rd place in the 24/7 composite rankings instead of 5th. Anyway, good job overall by the staff except for LBer in particular which I blame Chavis for that. When you don't have relations with prospects to speak of at that position, next to impossible for the new coaches to do it in like a month. Look at Michigan's class...look at Florida's class. They got late starts and for the most part turned out to be bad news for them. On the QB deal, there simply aren't a lot of them out there which is why the QB position is so bad around college football these days. Anyway, if Cameron can't get either Frank or Patterson to sign with LSU next class, the guy shouldn't be at LSU. If I criticized Crowden for not bringing in/developing talent, then Cam Cameron gets judged the same way.
