He is definitely a passer first like Jennings tries to be (many times, too hard I might add) but is definitely not a J Jefferson type who wanted to run all the time instead of trying to pass. I will use the term "dual threat" which means to me he is pass first but has the ability to run. Also, Cedar Hill will call QB draws and such for him occasionally. But the better running threat on CH was an African American guy with dyed red hair who was flat out the fastest guy on the field....and he was the backup QB. McMillan is faster than Jennings IMO but not as fast as Harris.
Yes, and the reports say big brother Eric (with the 49ers) was really pushing for Stanford. Sounds like he wants to be able to look after him in college,
The BR ESPN people says his mother works out in the Bay Area also...don't want to get into his personal life...'just sayin what they reported.
Good to hear. I don't care how fast he is. I want to know if he can hit receivers in the hands, since that's kind of what quarterbacks are supposed to do...
I say he is accurate and he was. Having said that, it was obvious that with D Lodge's vertical leap of like 60 inches (slight exaggeration) one of the CALLED plays was to throw it to a covered Lodge and have him go up and grab it. But where I used to think Lodge made McMillan, not so sure now. In the 2nd half of the Southlake Carroll game, Lodge dropped 2 perfectly thrown passes by McMillan (each 50 yards in length...a loss of 100+ passing yards). After seeing Brandon Martin and D Lodge in the same allstar game (Army one I believe), I would take Brandon Martin over D Lodge...seriously! Lodge dropped 2 more passes in that game also. The reason Lodge is covered so well is he isn't blazing fast and doesn't run the best routes. He catches a lot of passes via his vertical leap. And as far as Lodge's hands, I bring up the old Bill Yeoman quote about WRer Lionel Phi at U of Houston. After LP dropped a bunch of passes in a game, Yeoman said, "if he keeps knocking down passes like that, we are moving him to cornerback." LOL!
And you left out 2 incredibly important facts...1) Cedar Hill threw the ball a lot even though they had a good running game 2) this wasn't 2A like the QB Lewis from FL who is walking on to LSU. This is 6A (either division 1 or 2), the highest classification in TX.
