Growden wants in so I think he will be in this class. Just not sure how open he is to grayshirting if the numbers require it. Hearing he is open to the idea but hard to tell in those situations when it comes to crunch time on Wednesday and beyond.
I don't think the Lewis deal was rocket science on my or other people's part. There was an obvious reason why Ole Miss did everything they could to keep this visit from occurring. I will be much more proud of myself if Jefferson signs with LSU. Almost everyone has been calling me nuts and he has a grand total of 0 recruiting analysts picking LSU as his ultimate school. That is 0 out of 58 on 24/7 BTW.
Lewis has been a flip flopping fool all year so I can see why many are hesitant. MSU boards say they are confident because he told them this week that he was signing with them. I think he told us the same if I had to guess. He told us the day or two after them if all the stories are true...See where I am going. LSU has had that happen to them last minute many times over the last few years. I would pick LSU over MissSt right now though. I do think Ole Miss hurt themselves but most seem to think it stems from his mom being pushed by the Ole Miss staff too hard. CeCe much of the same but I think Cowart's dad hurt the perception of all 3 of the trio package deal talk. Package deals rarely pan out. You are not alone with your CeCe though. Gaining steam and has been for a few weeks now. It has been quiet as of late with Gibson so I would put my confidence higher on CeCe over Gibson.
I give LSU the edge on MSU for 4 reasons 1) I think a lot of people think MSU was somewhat of a fluke...I know I do 2) LSU got the last visit 3) 0 LBers committed this class and only 2 last class (Garrett the only MLB type) 4) I think LSU is going to play some 3-4 which means 2 big LBers on the field simultaneously. BTW, the difference IMO in disappointments before NSD and now is the coaching staff. If you give me a phrase association test with "defensive recruiting closer", I can promise you I would never think of "John Chavis". Haley I think is a decent recruiter but Chavis.... Let's see how he closes at A&M with defensive players...so far, he has pulled a ULL renege in D Thomas...that's it. On the other side of the ball, see the same thing. Does anyone on the planet earth think Studrawa could have flipped G Brown, gotten CVO, and probably have gotten Weathersby. Those are 3 OOS OL and Studrawa got what....Pocic in the last 2 years from OOS.
Wow, I'm surprised at this but according to a tweet an hour ago from CeCe Jefferson, LSU is not even in his final 4. "Wednesday I will be deciding between Auburn,Ole miss,Florida, or Alabama... Thanks for everything!" Well, the good news if you don't finish #1, it really doesn't matter whether you are 2nd or 5th or 8th.
I'm through predicting that guy. What I am about is why in the world did they drive over from Florida for the trip to begin with. You rarely see a guy take a final trip to a school, you list 4 finalists, and that school isn't even in the mix. Either it was a hideous trip for them or he was never remotely serious to begin with. Most prospects I believe would stick LSU in there to make it a final 5 simply as a thank you for the hosting instead of a list of 4 to choose from. That would be at the very least the "courteous" thing to do. THIS is the part of recruiting I don't like...the games played.
As too often, most you won't know till signing day. As for the DL, we have more than enough players to man the positions, but like I said, light a fire. Still a long time till signing day, we'll see how this one plays out.
All true, but maybe he's a trickster and will make us LSU fans happy on 02/04. Anyway, I sure do appreciate all the reports being shared, especially those from EyeoftheTiger 2015 and BhelmLSU.
