That game was fun to watch. Thought the Yanks might run away with it early but the Sox kept plugging away. Glad the season is upon us !
My Mets are going to suck again. I think that they will finish 3rd or 4th in their division (behind Phillies, Braves and maybe Florida). That's ok, I'm used to it.....I'm also a Knicks fan....and I've been a Saints fan and we all know that that has me warmed up to the idea of sub-mediocrity.
Good freind of mine who is originally from NY is a huge Mets fan is coming over for dinner and drinks Thursday night. I avoided inviting him over during the last half of the season last year because he was so pissed off at the Mets. I'm gonna hear is all night about how the Mets are going to suck as well as very pointed shots at the Stros. I love his passion for the game, being a native New Yorker, he holds no punches. I bait him every now and then just to get him going!!!! (He's also an LSU fan and hold no punches there either.) What is Reyes' status?
Thyroid problem seems to be over. He'll come off the DL on Saturday, most likely. Just trying to get into game shape.
Big Mets fan here, too. Start of the season not looking so great, especially after losing 2 out of 3 to the lowly Nats. Yesterday's loss was tough (what did the Mets ever do to Willie Harris, anyway), and today just flat out sucked. Horrible outing for Johan. It's only 6 games, but us Mets fans tend to think the worst -- I hope it's not going to be a long year...
