Wow, Casey shot a 66? Something tells me that's the low round of the tourney. Good thing for the field he shot a 77 yesterday.

Projected cut at +8. I can see that going up to +10 this afternoon.

It could easily be higher, but I will still go with +12.

Talk about optimism. I don't see it going below +10 with the conditions they are facing today.

Tiger is 0 out of 3 fairways. So far he has been lucky in that he has been getting in the primary and seconday cuts, but if he does not start hitting the fairways he will have a very, very long day.

Interesting. They just interviewed Lefty & he doesn't think he has a snowballs chance of making the cut @ +11. Hell, Casey could be leading @ the end of the day @ +3.

he has missed all of them by inches. he is doing fine.

    E through 3 with a chance to be -1 through 4.

My pick is that the lead will be +1 after 2 with Tiger holding it.

Yes, but at Oakmount inches can mean the difference between a par and a bogey. But Tiger is starting to hit the fairways now. He let a makeable birdie get by him, but I don't think he will allow that to happen too often.

he won't be +1 like I expected. The lead will still be level-par or +1 imo.

You called it. The lead is +1. The cut is +11. That puts Tiger 4 strokes behind the leaders going into tomorrow's round. He has to hit more fairways tomorrow than he did today if he expects take the lead.

Cabrera birdied the last hole to move to even and the cut was +10. Lefty missed the cut.

As for Tiger, he's not a come from behind guy in the majors. Looking at all the no name golfers ahead of him on the leaderboard, this might be the one for him to do it. Toms is the only guy ahead of him that might be able to withstand the pressure of a U.S. Open. I think the others will crumble.

Lots of good golfers at +6, tho...
