This is the worst LSU performance that I have witnessed in my 40 years as a fan. I'm speechless.[/quote] the team says thanks for your support........
I am so proud that you and your kids stayed, it doesn't matter where you spent your time, at least you stayed. You are a true fan. Great post, another true fan:lol:, I am sure that the Tigers appreciated you staying, at least they knew that there were still some fans watching them. Yep, that is the way that I feel, maybe if some of those grownups would stop and think how they would feel if some adult booed their 19 year old child. I used to have a poem about adults saying something to a child during a baseball game, it meant something. I will hafta see if I can find it. Anyways I will always support the Tigers and I will always be a fan, no matter what. Thank you to all those fans who stayed in that cold weather to watch their Tigers play. I appreciate you. :geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux: I found the poem, this is about a little boy who was playing baseball. I think the same thing can apply here though. HE IS JUST A LITTLE BOY He stands at the plate, with his heart pounding fast. The bases are loaded, the die has been cast. Mom and Dad cannot help him, he stands all alone. A hit at this moment, would send the Team home. The ball meets the plate, he swings and he misses. There’s a groan from the crowd, with some boos and some hisses. A thoughtless voice cries, strike out the bum. Tears fill his eyes, the game’s no longer fun. So open your heart, and give him a break. For it’s moments like this, a man you can make. Please keep this in mind, when you hear someone forget. He is just a little boy, and not a man yet.
Nice poem! Glad you all got the W. Always, always stay and watch the game...I don't even leave the tv even when we lose. I sucked it up and listened to every last minute of the Ole Miss game (I was on a boat lol)...I stayed and watched every last minute of Florida Georgia 2007 with fans barking in my face and I stayed for the bowl game against Michigan. That is when the team, those boys, need your support the most. If it weren't for them, Saturday afternoons in the fall wouldn't be the same.
you got me. I will say however that I continued listening to the game and hoping LSU would pull it out. I just doubted it would happen.
just got home ... way to go tigers ... i was right next to the troy fans and it stung when they started chanting overrated ... so lets just say i let them hear it when we were up 9 pts
Wow...what a game and trip. I'm going out tomorrow and buying some warm clothes for next week. Damn..I'm still shivering! :hihi:
I just read the entire game thread. Quite entertaining. My favorite posts: And, of course, good ole CajunPunk. At least he's consistent. The MVP (Most Vocal Poster) though, is Frogleg. Dude did not enjoy himself. This will be a good thread to dig up when Miles wins the SEC next year. Thanks for the yuks, guys.
