Offensive Line hear me and hear me well, I am a Die Hard LSU Fan. Give that young QB time to throw the ball, I am in Alabama and you guys are not getting any respect at all, they see you as weak and that you cant protect your own quarterback. I fight with them on a daily basis saying that we will come around. What happen to that Spartan attitude like when we won the National Championship, you know what I'm talking about. I never did worry about LSU because I knew that the other team was totally exhausted in the fourth quarter and that when we would strike the decisive blow to their manhood. Where is that mad dog mentality while out there, you guys use to rip teams to shreds. This is for Les Miles, what happen to you, your turning conservative now, not the Les Miles I knew, the one I knew went for the jugular every chance he got and put the other team away, fourth and one, no problem we were going for it. Offensive line you need to sniff some pepper are something. people want to say its that young QB, I don't thing so, give him some time, and wide receivers find away to get open, we have veteran receivers they know the deal no corner back should be be jumping in front of our receivers jump the ball instead and block them out. Offensive line stop getting blown off the ball I am just keeping it real bottom line up front.:tigereye:
Two weeks...two weeks for the coaching staff to change things. We don't seem to make many in game adjustments that turn a part of the game around. and so far, offensively, we haven't progressed at all between games. I'm waiting to see what coach Miles will do...how he responds to the regression of our offense. I hope the team has put last Saturday behind them. We haven't, but we have license not to...we're fans. But the team, sure as heck better be looking at Auburn and not dwell on the past like Georgia obviously did against Tennessee. I would not be surprised at all if LSU comes out next game and plays like you described because I really think the coaching staff will have them focused. I bet coach Miles is on fire right now...both at practice and at the coach meetings during this time off. Maybe the way we lost to Florida is just what we needed. I hope the Bama team and coaching staff is not respecting what we know LSU is capable of...I don't care what their fan base thinks. If they take us lightly, we'll have them right where we want them. With all our talent, we'll put it together soon...and Bama better watch out.:tigereye:.
I commend your respons Steve, but there have to be a change in that Offensive line. They either have to get tough or something. I have faith in Jefferson, you see this kids arm, he have to learn how to be a pocket passer and have the patience, but that comes along with time. He need protection right now, if they give that young kid time so that the routs can develope I think him and our wide outs can tear a team apart, they wont know what hit them, but time is whats needed. He have to run because hes young and the routs are not developing fast enough for him to sit in the pocket. I dont worry about the fans here in Alabama I give them all they can handle and I stick my flag in my yard and claim it for Louisiana they know the deal I can talk with the best of them here because I know what our Tigers can do when we put our mind to it. One more thing, Scott you remember when he was busting teams for big yards ? perfect example the offensive line is being pushed off the ball and the lanes are closing up to fast thats why hes not having the year he had in the passed, I hate to say it but its true man the offensive line they have to get it fixed. Bring back that Spartan attitude and give all they got, remember the number 4 thats our quarter there is no other team better in that quarter than LSU, they know what I mean when I wave my four fingers in front of my face down here, its crunch time and if you dont have us by now you are in trouble Lol. :LSU231::tigereye::laflagwav
I'm still hoping things get turned around offensively, but I'm not as optimistic as I had been. It sounds like Miles is fired up about changing play calling and maybe putting different personnel in. I'm just waiting to see an offensive turnaround. I'm still in with the optimists though. I do think that this year the players are trying their hardest...unlike last year. I don't believe the rumors about dissension on the team. I just think real competitive men will be just that in the locker room...These guys are a real team.
I just can't put ALL the blame on the O-Line when it comes to passing. And since they've switched to the zone blocking scheme, I've seen a smaller breakthrough in the running. Maybe it's just me, I dunno
Whats wrong with the o-line? thats pretty easy... Zhamel Thomas, Steven Singleton, Jarvis Jones, Ernest McCoy, Matt Allen, Carneal Ainsworth and Mark Snyder are not there... You can't lose a boatload of 4-star talent and expect to not be weaker.
:geaux: Heard Z. Thomas is starting at Arkansas, Matt Allen is at Texas A&M and Jarvis Jones is now at Oklahoma. Mark Snyder had to give up football after a severe injury. Singleton may be at South Carolina and McCoy may be at some South Fla. school, but not sure. Ainsworth quit due to personal reasons. If anyone else has more info or mine needs correcting, feel free. What say you Bhelm?! :LSU231:
