126-13 combined score. Here's hoping to add another 40+ to that numerator.

You can't make an addict stop. They have to recognize the problem, and decide to stop on their own.

Regarding the OL discussion here, I'm not hearing a lot about the Tigers who will actually be starting on the 2010 LSU OL.

Seems that this will be our starting OL going into 2010:
    LT Barksdale
    LG Dworaczyk
    C Lonergan
    RG Blackwell
    RT Hurst

Regarding C, the comments so far are:

KingEmeritus: Lonergan should be an improvement over Hebert.

LaSalleAve's friend: Lonergan looks like he is a huge upgrade.

However, I'm reading others that think Lonergan is no better than Hebert, and that Lonergan just got the job due to injury and then suspension to Herbert, and that between the two, its not clear who is better, they are the same quality.

Regarding the strong side of the line (LT and LG), the comments so far are:

KingEmeritus: Hopefully, LG Josh D. got bigger and stronger.

Cajun Sensation: LT Joe Barksdale. Pre-season 2nd team All SEC. I think he'll shine this year.

lp: Barksdale had some problems last year at right tackle so it will be interesting to see how he fares at left tackle which is the hardest position on the line.

Regarding the weak side of the line (RT and RG), the comments so far are:

KingEmeritus: RG Blackwell is an improvement over Hitt.

I actually think Blackwell is probably going to be our best offensive lineman in 2010, I'm very impressed with his appearances last year and in the spring game (which you have to take with a grain of salt).

Blackwell had the seal block on a LB against Auburn that sprung Shep on that long run, and some key blocks in other games when we ran the ball well. Huge upgrade at RG.

As for myself, I've been hearing a lot about how RT Hurst is doing well as a newcomer to the LSU OL. And he was a guy that had many Tiger fans that were critical of LSU's decision to sign him in the first place.

Hebert and Hitt were the weak links on the OL last year. Supposedly they knew the system better than their colleagues but in the games they got pushed around a lot. Lonergan and Blackwell are bigger, quicker, more athletic, and hopefully know the offensive blocking system now.

Why is everyone so sure Lonergan will beat out Hebert when he could'nt do it last year and when he got his chance later in the year was'nt all that impressive.
