For what it's worth, ESPN's Chris Low ranked LSU's OL as #8 in the SEC today: SEC position rankings: Offensive line - SEC Blog - ESPN 8. LSU: It can’t get much worse for the Tigers up front, not after giving up 37 sacks and failing to generate any kind of consistent running game last season. Senior Joseph Barksdale is moving from right tackle to left tackle. He’s used to moving. In high school, he was a highly recruited defensive lineman. LSU moved a couple of different people around in the spring hoping to find the right combination. Sophomore Alex Hurst shifted from guard to right tackle. Center T-Bob Hebert was suspended in May after being arrested and charged with DUI.
Good, they need to hear stuff like this instead of hearing they are the greatest line in the country. They need to be insulted, and pissed off. And i hope they feel that way.
Barksdale had some problems last year at right tackle so it will be interesting to see how he fares at left tackle which is the hardest position on the line.
wilkerson is one of my all time fave tigers and really got the short end of the luck stick with injuries. i think he had the ability to be a solid pro for many years. i think his influence can only help our line.
Yeah, like the last play of the game vs freaking VANDY! Wilkerson, Murphy, Cecil Collins. . .why are we always losing studs when we play the 'Dores? We need to stop scheduling them.
