Mark it down in your book. Now whether the line gels is definitely up for debate. I sure hope so. I would say collectively LSU has the 2nd best QB/WR/RB/TE skill position players as a unit in the entire nation. Yes, I said that. OU would undoubtedly be first.
This is all very subjective, of course...but I would have to agree with you. We have the best RB in the SEC (at least), the #1 WR pro prospect and the #1 WR recruit in the nation, probably the best receiving TE in the conference and (I'll say it) what WILL be the best QB this side of Oklahoma! Screw Teblow and Sneezy. IF...and I DO mean if...Miles is right about this being as good a line as he's ever coached here and IF Chavis produces a top-ten (nationally) defense like he's accustomed to, this team is Championship-ready THIS YEAR.
I would love to believe this, but unfortunately without one of the top 5 QB's, it would be a stretch to say we are #2. You can have the greatest receiving corps in the history of football, but you have to have a guy that can get it to them. Trust me, I hope you are right, but JJ is not one of the top QB's yet....let's hope that changes. 45 points per game in the SEC would be tough for the saints to accomplish.
I didn't look it up, but isn't that about what Florida averaged last year? Brees and co. would eat the SEC alive and dump it right back out in the middle of their respective fields while laughing about how ugly their mothers were.
Saints would hang up 70ppg in the SEC lol. Realistically i'm looking at 35-38 PPG. I've gotta take Dez Bryant over Lafell as the best receiver in the nation though.
Pffffft. Bryant wouldn't know what a true cover corner was if Peterson walked up and slapped his sister in the face.
Dude... This Saints offense will probably put up 70ppg in the NFC South alone! They would drop a century mark on SEC teams!Saintslogo
