The problem is that LSU's D needs to stay off the field, otherwise Bama's 2-headed running monster is gonna wear down the front 7. This means controlling time of possession and extending drives. I'd love for LSU to do this running the ball, but if they couldn't do that against Florida's defense, I have a hard time believing it can be done against Bama's.

I'm all for a 2-1 ratio of running to passing, but that formula will absolutely not work against what Saban has cooked up for us.

8 in the box, maybe 9 at times. Good luck being successful against that with stubborn running plays.

Lee will have to WIN this game for us. Simply playing NOT TO LOSE won't cut it.

I believe Lee has it in him to get the job done and ruin Bama's season.

Maybe we'll see more Trindon Holliday? A trick play or two with Keiland throwing a pass or two. Direct snaps to a RB?

It just seems to me we've got to throw out all the stops, but at the same time keep it simple for Lee (I don't mean for this to be a contradictory statement). I know he's a redshirt frosh, but he's got to learn just to eat the ball, or throw it away and not try to force things. Easier said than done, I know.

Greatest start to a post ever.

But in all serious, Lee should be taught to throw left handed.

The way we looked last night and in our two losses, it is hard to believe we have it in us to win this game with Bama. If I had to bet it wouldn't be for LSU. I'll be watching and cheering, but we just don't look that good. Lee is still green and hasn't shown any signs of improvement. The defense is limp. Please prove me wrong Les.

    Offensive Plan for Bama

    1. Throw no TD passes for the other team

    2. See #1.

With our lack of a consistent defense, IMO there is no way we play conservative and win. Lee has to throw the ball and we take our chances.

I agree LSU has to be balanced, you can't play scared. I could understand playing the 3 yards and a cloud of dust mentality, if our defense would be able to hold the Bama offense. The only way LSU can win is to win in a shootout. The defense is not going to allow for 17-14 victories this year.

Nick Saban is not stupid. He will do everything possible to make sure we do not run the ball. I say we need to spread things out and go with a no-huddle right off the bat to put their defense on their heels. Of course they need to hvae the WR running safe routes to minimize the pick 6's.

Its honestly not looking too good. Things are only getting worse for LSU. Passing for only 99 yards against Tulane isnt good when you have one of the best Ds in college football in Bama coming. Bama is also a pound the run down your throat, then catch you looking. We know our D will allow a good bit of points so the O has to produce. Lee has to start making plays and the play calling will have to be spot on for LSU to have a remote chance. Lee cant eye receivers and they have to catch the ball better. The drops are getting ridiculous, especially when you dont have a stable QB. Bama has a great DL so it wont be easy to run. Crowton will hav to keep the off balance and pick and choose when to throw. If LSU has a chance, Crowton will be an integral part. I just hope he doesnt fall in love with all the plays that take a long time which takes the O out of rhythm.
