for the Vanderbilt game? I'm gonna go with Keiland and Rahim Alem. Alem had 6 solo tackles and a big sack. I also think B. Taylor did some nice things, though the INT was more of a product of good reaction than good coverage. Coleman and Sheppard looked real good at the LB spots as well. A lot of hitting from Sheppard tonight. On offense, Keiland was the obvious choice. His hole hitting and vision are much improved, and he looks like a bonafide stud out there right now. The way he set up the downfield block and cut off of it on the his final TD run was beautiful to watch.
kieland was huge wit the touchdowns but dont forget about RJ Jackson, made some impressive catches. Defensively,Taylor, Alem and 89 chaunce ( dont wanna butcher his last name) all played well
Keiland gets my offensive nod, and Chad Jones gets the defensive one, because people were doubting him and talking about playing loston this past week because he missed a few tackles vs UW, but Chad was laying the wood tonight, and was all around the ball. I almost forgot lets hope Richard Murphy is ok, his leg was planted in the ground when he got popped. Hope his knee is alright.
yeah when he jumped over that guy and got popped, i was misserable at the game being rained on, but got nervous when i saw it also, the vanderbilt RT broke his ankle
Keiland Williams on offense, he looks ready to go each of the first two weeks. He must have learned his timing following his blocks, and he's got SPEED! I was hoping he'd have a great Sr. campaign, and so far he has broken out! He and Scott make a great tandem. I saw Scott carrying a pile of about 5 Commodores late in the game last night, he got about 8 yards after the initial contact when the first 3 guys jumped on him. Not flashy, but there is a third down and 2 with his name written on it, somewhere out there this season, and we'll need him to go get it! I can't pick one guy on D, it seems many contributed. Alem had a better game, Taylor made his presence felt. Chad Jones seemed to step his game up a notch, moving quicker.
RJ Jackson. He a senior buried in the depth chart and challenged by a freshman All-American but when he got his shot he caught 6 passes. Damn strong. Charles Alexander. Great improvement, he was clogging up the middle.
