Brees has what 1 maybe 2 years left in him. He has already lost a lot of his velocity and I'm not sure he isn't already done. Time to find the next guy was probably 2 years ago. I'm not judging anything out of Cleveland on QB's, their issues run far deeper than thst.
Me too, but I think he still wants starter money. They probably got Hicks cheap, and if he has anything left in the tank, Brees will find it.
Hicks is a camp body and will be cut before the season starts. I hear good things about a guy named something Thomas who could turn out to be the replacement for Colston at slot receiver
Got an update on my phone could only see part of the last name. thought we signed Matt Schaub. Saints sign Matt Shaughnessy, NFL Network reports BY NICK UNDERHILL | [email protected] PUBLISHED AUG 1, 2016 AT 8:52 PM | UPDATED AUG 1, 2016 AT 9:01 PM WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — The New Orleans Saints reportedly have signed another player whom they have long been linked with. The team has added pass rusher Matt Shaughnessy, according to the NFL Network. Shaughnessy, who was drafted by Oakland and spent 2013 and 2014 with the Arizona Cardinals, has 18.5 sacks in his career. He worked out for New Orleans at one point in 2015 after getting cut during training camp, and he also tried out during minicamp. New Orleans recently signed wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, another player who tried out multiple times before being signed.
That would be second round pick Michael Thomas out of tOSU, nephew of Keyshawn Johnson. One of the camp media tweeted over the weekend that he's never heard Brees rave about a rookie receiver the way he has about MT.
