ESPN says Bridgewater will visit with the Dolphins, and if they offer him 1-2 million more than what is currently on the table, the Saints will let him go.
He hasn't played much football for 3 years. He needs to play and starting is not an option with the Saints. Hopefully he signs a short term deal with Miami and would be a free agent when Brees retires.
Didn't a report come out where Sean Payton said "he's our next starter" or something? Something is fishy with this...(no pun intended)
I've seen that quote twice, once where he actually said the name and one where he just said we already have our next starter. He could be talking about Hill.
Pro Bowl TE (Raiders) Jared Cook will visit tomorrow. Would be a short-term solution at 32 years old, but a good addition considering the closing Brees window.
ProFootballTalk.com says the Saints have restructured Brees' contract, creating an additional $10.8 million in cap space. Wish they had done that before the Murray-Ingram deals were done.
Why do we keep having to kick the can down the road? It feels like "salary cap hell" has been going on far too long. We haven't even signed any really big money free agent since the Byrd fiasco, right? Kamara and Thomas are on 2nd and 3rd round rookie deals...I don't get it....
No offense but that's bs. 7th highest paid QB and ALL 6 teams above have more cap space. Loads more. I'm too lazy but you can see for yourself at over the cap.com.
