He seemed like a great pickup when we signed him, but he couldn't overcome his injury. If he was healthy in camp. then that may be a good sign, in that the WRs we do have are all performing above expectations .
One of the two positives of Thomas' holdout, the other being he's not on the field risking injury (I feel you, AJ Green). Without him, others are getting more opps to stand out. This Butler kid is getting some early hype, and Cyril the Tiger is turning some heads too.
Good point. I don't care if Thomas goes to camp at all or plays in a single preseason game as long as he is on the field for game 1.
Indications are Erik McCoy is separating himself from the competition at center, and its looking more and more like he will be the starter on opening day. 5th round draft pick Saquon Hampton is getting a lot of hype as well.
Just 32 hours until the Saints host the Vikings in pressure game 1. What's the O/A on the number of players you will see that you have ever heard of? Still, a taste of football in August is a good thing.
My bet is we see a handful of starters for a series, maybe two for a couple who could be fighting for their starting positions. I think Teddy starts at QB and gets the first half, Hill gets most of the 2nd half, with Barrett possibly getting some mop up at the end.
