What stands out to me the most about why so many have a problem with Miles is this. You can go down this list, and tell me what every coach's specialty is, except Miles. 1. Saban = Defense 2. Meyer = Offense 3. Carroll = Defense 4. Peterson = Offense 5. Nutt = Offense etc etc etc What is Miles specialty? We know he played O line, but I don't think he even pretends to know much about offensive strategy, other than to run the ball. He surely isn't defense. I like many others, at times wonders wth does he do? I think we could definitely say he is a great recruiter. BUt on Gameday, that's pretty useless. I'm not trying to start a fire Miles thread. I do not under any circumstance think he should be fired. However, I think there are at least 50 other coaches that given the talent he's had, could have done just as well if not better. I just want to know what you think he does on gameday? I doubt anyone can say manages the game, because his history with that is not so good.
Would you be available? You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and a real penchant for hindsight analysis. You'd never have to leave your lazyboy recliner ...just have them roll you out on the field and you could call the plays using your remote control.
Miles has always had UNDISCPLINED teams . every game they make STUPID mental errors EVERY GAME how many false starts doe we have a game that COST US DEARLY . These are COACHING ERRORS not making your players discplined not having them focused . When we win we win with TALENT being better than the other team NEVER do we out coach the other team, in fact sometimes we lose to teams with inferior talent BECAUSE we are out coached
If I wasn't on an LSU forum, I would think you were talking about Saban's team. ALA had costly turnovers and penalties yesterday inside the red zone, they gave up a safety, and heck if the officials would not have taken over they may have lost. How many times did NS throw his headphones in frustration at their mistakes? Dude, you should take this negative, sour grapes crap somewhere else. The Tigers played hard yesterday against an evenly matched and coached team that came down to the last quarter and either team could have won that game. If we play them again, I bet we win.
This is utter nonsense. If anyone was outcoached yesterday, it was Saban, who didn't have Ingram running the ball during the 1st half. He thought it was a good idea to throw every down. And where exactly is your proof of lack of discipline? We are not heavily penalized this year, and we are pretty clean off the field. For that matter, we're still paying for Coach Miles meting out severe punishment to RP. I'm SICK of hearing that when we win, it's our superior talent (that's being amassed by our coach), and when we lose, it's because our coach sucks. But it's a typical response from fans.
