    Damn, Rolen practically ran away from the interviewer after being asked about he and LaRussa kissing and making up. Not very believable. He's on the phone with his agent right now to see what team other than the Cardinals he can play for next season.

    Dammit! I was waiting all series long for the Cards to win, quote all of your Cardinal hate and "get even". But I'll let it slide as a result of the crow meal. I love this game of baseball and as a Card fan, I'm ecstatic... but as a fan of the beautiful game of baseball where the only goal is to go home... What a series, kudos to the Cards, kudos to the Mets great seasons. What a fantastic series.

    The first pitch to Beltran was right where he likes it...in his wheelhouse...just didn't pull the trigger...looked like he was pretty much taking on the first pitch...not sure how you can do that in this situation, or maybe he was expecting a curve ball.

    Yeah ultimately for me, it still comes down to this beautiful game of baseball, as you so eloquently put it. It was one of those game 7s that goes down in history as one of the best.
