Bochy, the stooge, going with Williams over Peavy Williams pitches better at home. Oh well. The only thing that can save Bochy is that the Cardinals do indeed suck. This series is basically a suck-fest.
All those big ticket free agents went to the Yankee Empire to win a WS. The first five have never won the big one: Mussina Giambi A-Rod Matsui Abreu (via trade) Sheffield(at least he won his WS with the FLA vs. NYY) The Unit (at least he won his WS @ AZ vs. NYY) Damon (at least he won his WS @ BOS - beat the NYY in the ALCS) Funny how the Yanks haven't won a WS since they stopped bringing up their talent in the minors: Jeter Rivera Posada Williams ...and went the big ticket free agent route... Steiny - sometimes the big $$$$ and big city lights JUST DON'T WORK.

Mets offense looks like it will just simply decide to outscore the opponent when needed....as in game 3 when Randolf decided to give the Dodgers a 3 run gift by putting in his bottom of the rung relief pitcher in Oliver. I don't think you'll see Oliver anymore other than mop-up role. Mets vs. AL winner will be quite a matchup. Should be fun to watch. PS - martin, where is Roberto Hernandez? is he even on the post season roster?
This just in...Bochy is an idiot and will be fired after season is over Woody Williams has a decidedly better ERA at home vs the road....he is prone to the long ball....this is one of the easiest ballparks to homer in. Williams will give up 2 or 3 homers tonite....Padres are done. Peavy was on full rest and will not get the chance to pitch again. Bochy is gone.
